Based in Manchester, but able to operate across the UK and Europe, we find and work with the best directors and photographers – whether specialists in comedy, sport, children, food, etc – and assemble the right team for each individual project. We source our suppliers from the best in the UK and encourage new and young talent, delivering the best work that everyone can be proud of.

The Good Guys primarily work as an external production company with creative agencies or direct clients, and facilitating northern-UK shoots for other production companies, but can also provide short-term support for creative companies requiring an agency producer, and also other production companies seeking freelance support/assistance.

Producing great work requires teamwork and communication from front-to-back, top-to-bottom. Working with The Good Guys is not an us-and-them situation, it’s a collaborative, creative, rewarding and enjoyable experience.

The Good Guys was founded by Phil Kerr, with a mission and passion to produce quality work for creatively-led clients, without compromising on budget. Having worked in commercial production for 20 years, Phil launched The Good Guys in 2022 after identifying clients’ needs for an experienced, competitive production partner, but without the baggage.
